Man escapes with bag containing Rs. 3.82 lakh

BANGALORE: A man diverted the attention of Ramesh Singh (50), a merchant, and escaped with his bag containing Rs. 3.82 lakh near the Kamakshipalya police station on Tuesday.

In his complaint Mr. Singh, who is a resident of Kamakshipalya, said that he withdrew the money from a bank and kept it in a bag in his two-wheeler.

When he was about to start his vehicle, the accused approached him stating that his vehicle had a flat tyre. “The vehicle had a flat tyre and I thanked the person for alerting me. After replacing the tube, I realised that the person had escaped with the cash bag,” Mr. Singh said.

Cash snatched

Two persons on a motorcycle snatched Rs. 3 lakh from a contractor on Monday near BEL Circle. According to Ramaiah, the two persons attacked him when he was walking home after withdrawing the money from a bank.
