Readying for the annual show: A pet lover with her dogs during a press conference to announce the All Breeds Championship Dog Show in Bangalore on Wednesday. Bangalore: A two-day All Breeds Championship Dog show organised by the Bangalore Canine Club (BCC) will be held at Bangalore Palace Grounds on November 29 and 30. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, BCC honorary secretary R. Rajyalakshmi said the annual show will witness over 400 dogs from all over the country as well as some rare breeds such as Maltese, Bull Mastiffs, and Neapolitan Mastiffs among others. In an effort to encourage dogs bred in India, Ms. Rajyalakshmi said, there would be a special prize for the category, which would encourage exhibitors to breed better dogs within the country rather than import them regularly. A demonstration on grooming of dogs by Le Grand Kennels followed by junior handling competition in which child handlers will exhibit their handing skills to compete for the best junior handler prize are the attractions of November 29. CategoriesThere will be seven classes in each breed based on the age group. Among the winners of these classes, the judge will select the best of breed. Finally all best of breeds will assemble for the best in the show on November 30. The show will be judged by Enrique Jorge Filippini of Argentina and R. Nagendiran of India.
