Young artists prepare themselves for D-Day

BANGALORE: Over 400 children in both senior and junior categories will display their artistic talents at the finals of The Hindu Young World On-the-Spot Painting Competition 2008 on November 30. The competition, which is in its 19th year, will be held at St. Joseph’s Boys’ High School (near Mallya Hospital), Bangalore 560001.

This year over 2,000 entries were received from 150 schools across the State.

After evaluation by the judges, over 400 students have been short-listed for the finals and letters sent to them.

The participants are directed to bring this letter with them to the venue.

The competition will be held between 10 a.m. and noon and students have to report by 9.30 a.m.

Drawing sheets will be provided but all participants must bring all other painting materials.

The topics for both junior and senior categories will be announced at the venue.
