Water level

MADURAI: Water level in the Periyar dam on Tuesday stood at 121 feet (136 feet) with an inflow of 1,028 cusecs and a discharge of 1,200 cusecs. The level in the Vaigai dam was 62.73 feet (71 feet) with an inflow of 1,653 cusecs and a discharge of 41 cusecs. The combined Periyar credit stood at 3,828 mcft.

Marudhanadi recorded 40 mm of rainfall, followed by Madurai, Mettupatti 38 mm each, Kallandiri 37, Thaniyamangalam 34, Idayapatti 31, Pulipatti, Kuppanampatti 30 mm each, Melur 29, Peranai 26, Sattaiyar dam 23, Shanmuganadi 17, Manjalar dam 12, Sothuparai dam 9, Vaigai dam 8, Uthamapalayam, Veerapandi and Tekkadi 5 mm each, Periyar dam, Gudalur and Andipatti 3 mm each.
