Syndicate to abide by decision

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: The Bangalore University Syndicate on Tuesday agreed to accept the decision of the Government that cleared B.C. Mylarappa, former Director of Correspondence Courses and Distance Education Centre, from charges of misappropriation of funds.

Not discussed

However, the Syndicate did not discuss the report of the sub-committee on the allegations levelled against K.R. Venugopal, principal of University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, who is accused of having submitted a fake caste certificate to the university. Sanjay Vir Singh, Registrar, said the Karnataka High Court had stayed discussions on the sub-committee report.
