Festival of music from the South
NEW DELHI: Kalaikoodam is holding a two-day festival of classical instrumental music by maestros from the South on November 27 and 28 as part of its silver jubilee celebrations. According to Kalaikoodam director Komala Varadan, the opening day will feature a violin duet by Vidwan Ganesh and Vidwan Kumaresh accompanied by Patri Satish Kumar on the mridangam and Trichy Krishna on the ghatam. The second day will feature a Chitraveena recital by Sangeet Samrat N. Ravikiran accompanied by Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi on the violin, Patri Satish Kumar on the mridangam and Trichy Krishna on the ghatam.
The programme will be held in Chinmaya Auditorium of Chinmaya Mission on Lodhi Road here at 6-30 p.m. on each day.
