Staff Correspondent

Cattle row: Police of the Pension Mohalla Police Station lathi-charge miscreants who stoned the police station on Tuesday.

Hassan: Police resorted to lathi-charge to disburse a mob of about 300 people who had gathered in front of the Pension Mohalla Police Station here on Tuesday. Circle Inspector Girijesh said that trouble started when activists of Srirama Sena stopped a person of the minority community saying that he was taking cattle to the slaughter house. The person in question had purchased three buffaloes and three oxen at APMC yard weekly market and was taking them to Pension Mohalla. Activists brought the man to the police station along with the cattle.

Meanwhile, over 300 people gathered in front of the police station. When the police were talking to the community leaders, some miscreants pelted stones.
