No transfers till March, says Kageri

HASSAN: Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Vishwanath Hegde Kageri has said that there will be no transfers in the Education Department till March. He was talking to presspersons at the helipad here on Tuesday, where the helicopter taking him and Home Minister V.S. Acharya from Udupi to Bangalore made a brief halt for refuelling.

Mr. Kageri said if any educational institution demanded donation, it should be brought to the notice of department.

Mr. Kageri said there was no proposal before the Government to make it mandatory for government employees to send their children to government schools, although it was a good proposal. — Staff Correspondent
