Toll plan to be reconsidered

BANGALORE: Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on Tuesday made it clear that he would reconsider the proposal to collect toll from motorists using the Bangalore-Mysore State highway.

Public Works Minister C.M. Udasi recently said he was thinking of introducing a toll for State highways to raise funds for maintenance of roads as the Public Works Department was short of funds.

Mr. Yeddyurappa told reporters that he would reconsider the proposal in the wake of opposition from people.
