Narrow win for Avadh

ALIGARH: Avadh University, Faizabad, scored a four-run victory over Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, in the North Zone inter-University cricket tournament here on Tuesday.

The scores: Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad, 194 in 34.3 overs (Ajay Kumar 50, Ramesh Misra 42, Mridul Verma 36) beat Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, 190.

Jammu University, Jammu, 209 for seven in 35 overs (Ajit Pal 60) beat Kumaun University, Nainital, 114 in 25 overs (Suryakant four for 25).
