Applications invited for awards

CHENNAI: The Department of Environment, Tamil Nadu, has invited applications for Environmental Awards for the year 2008. According to a press release, a cash prize of Rs. 5,000 has also been announced for environmental scientists for the best research article on environmental issues published in 2008.

Application forms would be available at the Office of the Director, Department of Environment, Ground Floor, Panagal Building, Saidapet, Chennai – 15, on all working days from December 15 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Forms can also be downloaded at www.environment.

tn.nic.in.

Last date for issue of applications is January 20, 2009 and for submitting applications is January 31, 2009. — Staff Reporter
