Special trains to be regularised

CHENNAI: The long distance inter-city special trains announced by Southern Railway in the beginning of this month elicited good response. These special trains which have performed well will be proposed for regularisation.

On the other hand, review of occupancy of short distance specials indicate that these specials had not been patronised well .Therefore, Southern Railway decided not to run the short distance specials after November 30.

The following winter special trains stand cancelled due to poor occupancy: Train no 0687 Chennai Central – Bangalore special leaving Central on November 26 and train no 0688 Bangalore – Chennai Central leaving Bangalore on November 27

Those who booked tickets will be entitled for full refund, says a Railway release. — Special Correspondent
