GULBARGA: Two women were killed on the spot and 17 others suffered serious injuries when a van in which they were travelling fell into a ditch between Gotur and Kanasur in Chitapur taluk in Gulbarga district this evening. According to reports reaching here, the victims — Shantabai Matpathi (59) from Sugur K village in Chitapur taluk and Guramma B (55) from Kalbenur in Gulbarga taluk — died on the spot while 17 others who were injured have been admitted in Government General Hospitals in Chitapur and Gulbarga .— Special Correspondent
