Chitradurga: L.B. Rajashekharappa has been elected as new zilla panchayat president.

The post had been vacant following the resignation of previous president Geetanandini Gowda, whose resignation was accepted on November 3, according to a press release.

Earlier, Mr. Rajashekharappa was the president of zilla panchayat’s social justice committee. — Staff Correspondent
