Another jewel in DMK’s crown

CHENNAI: K. Veeramani, Dravida Kazhagam, president on Monday described the announcement of 3 per cent reservation for Arundathiyars as another jewel in the crown of the DMK. In a statement issued here on Monday, Mr. Veeramani said many leaders such as Periyar and Anna had appealed for providing reservation for this community. But, only during the regime of Mr. Karunanidhi it had fructified. — Special Correspondent
