Minor fire

A fire broke out in one of the halls at Chennai Trade Centre in Nandambakkam on Monday.

Police said they received a call about the fire that had broken out in Hall No. 1. The hall was unoccupied at that time and the fire had broken out at a junction box due to suspected leakage of electricity.

Personnel from Nandambakkam rushed to the spot and sprayed dry chemical powder to put out the fire. No one was injured, police said, adding there was no major loss to property either.
