TIRUPATI: The TTD’s religious propagation arm, Dharma Prachara Parishad (DPP) will be soon spreading its tentacles in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka as well. It would appoint as coordinators who voluntarily came forward to engage themselves with the DPP in the holy task of spreading the religion, heritage, culture and ethos. A formal decision to this end was taken at the meeting held here on Monday wherein the TTD’s Executive Officer, K.V. Ramanachary and the Chairman of its ‘Dharmika Salaha Mandali’ P.V.R.K. Prasad were closeted with all the concerned officials. The meeting also reviewed the progress of various on-going religious propagation works and also charted its future course of action in the context of the forthcoming major events like the ‘Vaikuntha Ekadasi’ and the New Year’s day which would witness a huge congregation of pilgrims at Tirumala and in other TTD-run temples. Mr. Ramanachary said that the DPP would ensure conduct of ‘bhajans’ and such other spiritual programmes in all the temples of Andhra Pradesh on the eve of ‘Vaikuntha Ekadasi’. He said the TTD’s television channel, S.V. Bhakti Channel would telecast the fairs and festivals that take place in the major temples of other States as well. Dharmika Salaha Mandals would be constituted in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka also to work in tandem with the DPP. TTD’s Special Officer, Tirumala, A. V. Dharma Reddy and Jt. EO (Tirupati), Seshadri, were among the participants in the session.
