23 trains to skip Coimbatore

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As many as 23 pairs of long-distance trains operating to and from the State will skip Coimbatore railway station from November 25 to December 12 in view of a major yard remodelling work.

The trains that will not touch Coimbatore junction during this period will stop at Podanur, according to a Railways release.

The trains that will skip Coimbatore include the 6381/6382 Mumbai-Kanyakumari Expresses; 6315/6316 Bangalore-Kochuveli-Bangalore Expresses; 6865/6866 Tiruchy-Ernakulam-Tiruchy Expresses; 2643/2644 Thiruvananthapuram-Nizamuddin-Thiruvananthapuram Expresses; 2645/2646 Ernakulam-Nizamuddin Ernakulam Expresses; 6321/6322 Bangalore-Thiruvananthapuram-Bangalore Expresses; 2625/2626 Thiruvananthapuram-New Delhi-Thiruvananthapuram Expresses; 6525/6526 Kanyakumari-Bangalore-Kanyakumari Expresses; 2511/2512 Gorakpur-Thiruvananthapuram-Gorakpur Expresses; 2521/2522 Baruni-Ernakulam-Baruni Expresses; 6325/6326 Indore-Thiruvananthapuram-Indore Ahilaynagari Expresses; 6327/6328 Korba-Thiruvananthapuram-Korba Expresses; 7229/7230 Thiruvananthapuram-Hyderabad-Thiruvananthapuram Sabari Expreses; 6687/6688 Mangalore-Jammu Tawi-Kanyakumari Expresses; 2659/2660 Shalimar-Nagercoil-Shalimar Gurudev Expresses; 3351/3352 Alappuzha-Dhanbad-Bokaro-Tata-Alappuzha Expresses; The 6309/6310 Ernakulam-Patna-Ernakulam Expresses; 6323/6324 Thiruvananthapuram-Shalimar-Thiruvananthapuram Expresses; 2677/2678 Bangalore-Ernakulam Intercity Expresses; 2507/2508 Ernakulam-Guwahati-Ernakulam Expresses;

2515/2516 Thiruvananthapuram-Guwahati-Thiruvananthapuram Expresses and the 6359/6360 Ernakulam-Patna-Ernakulam Expresses.
