VCK welcomes government decision

CHENNAI: Viduthalai Chiruthaikal Katchi (VCK) president Thol. Thirumavalavan has welcomed the government’s decision to provide a separate quota of 3 per cent to the Arundathiyar community within the existing quota for the Scheduled Castes.

In a statement here on Monday, Mr. Thirumavalavan wanted the government to convene a meeting of Dalit leaders before the scheduled Cabinet meeting on November 27 to work out a strategy for successful implementation of the separate quota for Arundathiyars.
