Krishna Khaitan tournament

HYDERABAD: All-India Krishna Khaitan Memorial junior major ranking badminton tournament, with a total prize money of Rs. 2 lakh, for boys and girls (under-19 years) will be held at Gopi Chand Badminton Academy (Gachibowli) from Tuesday, according to K. Ch. Punnaiah Choudhary, secretary of AP Badminton Association.

The qualifying rounds will commence tomorrow and the main draw from November 27.

A record number of 950 matches will be played over the next four days.

The meet assumes significance as the Indian team for the Dutch and the German Opens will be selected based on the performances here.
