Creative talents of students to the fore at expo

Explaining scientific facts: Students of Montfort Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School displaying models at the exhibition held in the school.
YERCAUD: The creative talents of students came to the fore in the Education Exhibition organised by the Montfort Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School here recently.
Students displayed a large number of working models based on various science concepts in the exhibition. They also displayed charts and models to promote awareness on health and hygiene.
Models such as preparation of iodised salt at home, power generation techniques, remote control for various home appliances, water purification technology and the gadget to identify blood group attracted a large number of visitors.
Students and teachers from nine schools in Yercaud and people from the town visited the exhibition, which was inaugurated by Chief Educational Officer R. Ramaraj.
He also distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions organised in connection to the Children’s Day. School Principal K.J. George presided over the function. Retired Col. Dr. Hugh Marley also participated. R. Sabarishni was selected as the best student of the year in the junior category and Nithersh Prakash in the senior category. The two were given special prizes.
