Bangalore: The city witnessed another spell of rain on Sunday after Saturday’s showers. The pleasant day turned gloomy towards the afternoon followed by an hour-long rain in most parts of the city. The city recorded 12 mm of rainfall while the Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) received 10 mm of rainfall, according to the Department of Meteorology. The minimum temperature in the city dropped to 19.6 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature was 25.6 degrees Celsius. Around the BIA, the minimum temperature was 18.9 degrees Celsius and the maximum was 26.2 degrees Celsius. Both the city and the airport area measured a humidity level of 91 per cent. “The rainfall is expected to continue for the next 48 hours,” said Muthuchami A., Director of the Department of Meteorology. “The rainfall will not be too heavy, but there will be intermittent showers through the day,” he added. Movement of vehicular traffic was not affected on Sunday. However, those commuting on M.G. Road and Cunningham Road in the afternoon complained of being caught in slow-moving traffic.
