‘MRI has revolutionised diagnostics’

HYDERABAD: MRI techniques have revolutionised medical diagnostics and treatment of brain tumours and other critical diseases through three-dimensional imaging of human organs, said P.A. Narayana, Professor of University of Texas, Houston. He was delivering a talk on ‘Brain and Language: What did we learn from Magnetic Resonance Imaging’ at Maulana Azad National Urdu University on Thursday. He also elaborated on the role of MRI techniques in mapping human as well as animal organs. While smaller brains have lesser number of neurons, they are enough for an average man to become a potential genius, he stated.
