NCC cadets greeting customers at the M&M Showroom in Guntur on Sunday. GUNTUR: The National Flag Day was celebrated at the M & M Showroom here on Sunday with patriotic fervour. Dozens of flag-waving NCC cadets took part in the celebrations and greeted the customers. The five floors of the imposing show room in Arudelpet was draped in the tri-colour as the personnel joined the celebration. Milling customers, who thronged the garment store, were explained about the significance of the National Flag Day. “We have decided to celebrate the occasion and create an awareness among the general public over the importance of the National Flag Day. The flag is the pride of the nation and we all should honour and remember the flag,” Md. Sadiq Ali Khan, managing director of M & M told media persons on Sunday. He said the personnel of the store would distribute flags to all the customers. The M & M would also keep a collection box near the cash counter on its premises for those willing to contribute to the welfare of the armed forces. The collection would be handed over to the District Collector on the Armed Forces Flag Day observed on December 8.
