Airtel’s voice messaging service

CHENNAI: Airtel’s voice messaging is now available for users in Tamil Nadu. The service works on all types of handsets and is user-friendly, says a press note. The personalised service enables users to communicate in speech in the language of their choice. It is based on the “talk and listen” messaging format as opposed to the “type and read” style of conventional text messaging, said Anirban Ghosh, chief operating officer, Airtel (mobile services). — Special Correspondent
