NEW DELHI: Delhi Cantonment defeated Friends United 3-0 in a group ‘A’ match of the DSA ‘A’ division football league at the Air Force ground, Race Course, here on Sunday. Ashish Kohli (2) and Sobin scored the goals for Delhi Cantonment which has collected 14 points from six matches. The team needs a draw against Ajmal Club, which has 11 points, in its last league match on Monday to qualify for the super league. In another group ‘A’ encounter, Youngsters Club beat Cosmos Club 4-0, thanks to the goals by Saurabh Khanduri, Ashish Chauhan, Ayan and Saurabh Patra. Youngsters has gathered 13 points. In group ‘B’, Goodwill Club defeated Garhwal Diamond 5-2. Manpreet struck four goals while Manglesh completed the tally for the winner. Johnson and Nitin scored the goals for the loser. Uttarakhand beat Union Club 2-0 in another group ‘B’ clash. R. S. Rawat and Ankur found the target for Uttarakhand that has 10 points.
