Pitch promises runs, says curator

Bangalore: The pitch at the Chinnaswamy Stadium promises runs according to the curator Narayan Raju.

"It is like a second day pitch in a Test match. It is meant for runs, a good one-day wicket and there will be decent bounce. I don’t think dew will be a big factor and we are prepared though the rains can affect our plans," Narayan said.

“Chris Broad, the match referee at the recent Test against Australia in his report has mentioned that it was an ‘above average’ pitch, so it is not that bad as some people make it out to be." — Principal Correspondent
