VIJAYAWADA: Tamil Nadu beat Kerala by eight wickets in the South Zone senior women’s one-day cricket tournament at Anantapur on Saturday.

In other matches, Goa defeated Andhra by 53 runs, while Hyderabad scored a five-wicket win over Karnatakata.

The tournament resumes on Tuesday after a two-day break.

The scores:

Kerala 119 in 50 overs (R.S. Saranya 45, Niranjana four for 22) lost to Tamil Nadu 120 for two in 23.2 overs (T. Kamini 67); Karnataka 147 in 49.4 overs (Karuna Jain 63, Sravanti Naidu five for 18, Rajini four for 11) lost to Hyderabad 149 for five in 38.5 overs (Mamata 53); Goa 148 in 49.4 overs (Resha Rawal 53) bt Andhra 95 in 31.2 overs (Shilpa four for nine). — Principal Correspondent
