Bababudangiri public hearing on January 17

Bangalore: The public hearing to codify the religious rituals at the Bababudangiri shrine in Chikmagalur district has been scheduled for January 17, 2009.

Meanwhile, even though the date fixed for hearing earlier (November 22) was postponed by the Commissioner of Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments, affidavits were accepted from those who turned up at the office in Bangalore on Saturday, numbering 32. In a new development, Ramanna Naik took over as the new Endowment Commissioner on Saturday and accepted affidavits at his office .
