ERODE: District Revenue Officer M. Mayakrishnan has recommended disciplinary action against a Government hostel cook.

A press release that was issued here by the district administration says that when the officer recently conducted surprise inspection at the Adi Dravida Girls’ Welfare Hostel at Nagarpalayam, near Gobichettipalayam, he found the cook absent without notice and ordered disciplinary action.

He also recommended that suitable action be taken against the hostel supervisor after the shortage of stock came to light following the inspection that had been carried out.

Similarly, Mr. Mayakrishnan also fined a fair price shop supervisor after he discovered that the latter had not maintained properly the stock register.

In addition to this, the release adds that the officer also inspected the functioning of the Gobichettipalayam taluk office.

He later presented title deeds (patta) to 33 persons, and welfare assistance worth Rs. 1.35 lakh to 58 persons.
