Impressive learning: Collector M. Chandrasekaran seeing a student of Panchayat Union Primary School explaining the activity-based learning during his inspection on Friday.
TIRUVARUR: District Collector M. Chandrasekaran, on Friday, paid a surprise visit to the panchayat union primary school at Keezhakudi village in Nannilam block and inspected the various development works being carried out in the school and also the quality of food and eggs served in the noon-meals to the children.
The Collector also interacted with the teachers about the advantages and the problems faced in the Activity-Based Learning (ABL) programme implemented in the school. The Collector was impressed when a few children explained what they learnt in the school through the ABL and enquired the children about the quality of food being served in the school.
Mr. Chandrasekaran visited the school while inspecting various development works including road improvement works. construction of school buildings and also under the National Rural Employment Guarantee (NREG) scheme and Anaithu Grama Anna Marumalarchi Thittam. He also looked into the progress of construction works at the panchayat union primary school at Keezhakudi. He verified the voter’s identity cards in Nannilam block. He instructed the officials to complete all works within the stipulated time.
