Police clearance certificate info on website

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: To make issuing of police clearance certificates - required for travelling abroad- hassle-free, Cyberabad police have posted details of the procedures to be followed on their website www.cyberabadpolice.gov.in.

They also introduced the facility of applying online for the certificates . Going through the procedures meant at least four to five visits to the Commissionerate for an applicant.

Online facility

An applicant can either take a printout and submit it at the Commissionerate office or fill it online and mail it to the address mentioned in the website. On receipt of mail, the police would send field verification officer to the applicant’s address.

After corroborating details of the applicant, the officer would furnish the report to his higher-ups. Then, the applicant should go to the Commissionerate and present original documents for perusal of the Inspector concerned after which the report would be forwarded to Intelligence Department for issuing ‘No Objection Certificate’.
