Anniversary of Alpha to Omega Learning Centre celebrated

Prize: Students of Alpha to Omega Learning Centre, receiving awards from S.S. Badrinath, Chairman Emeritus of Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai on Friday.
CHENNAI: Cultural programmes, karate demonstrations and Vedic chants by students marked the 20th anniversary celebrations of Alpha to Omega Learning Centre, which was held here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Emeritus of Sankara Nethralaya S.S.Badrinath said that learning disability was not a barrier for higher education.
He said many great personalities, including Nobel laureate Albert Einstein, inventor Thomas Alva Edison, actor Whoopi Goldberg and cardiothoracic surgeon Delos Cosgrove of Cleveland Clinic had learning disabilities but they had overcome it.
Efforts commended
He commended the founders of Alpha to Omega Learning Centre for their effort and service.
Dr.Badrinath presented awards to students, who excelled in academics, sports and cultural activities.
Alpha to Omega Learning Centre Director Lalitha Ramanujan, Founder Trustee C.Ramanujan and its principal Jayashree Ashok and Sankara Nethralaya Director (Laboratory Service) Vasanthi Badrinath participated in the event.
