AITA and Apollo Tyres sink differences
BANGALORE: In a refreshing departure from its earlier stand, the All India Tennis Association (AITA) on Friday declared that it was putting “the past behind” and sought cooperation and coordination from Apollo Tyres in promoting the game in the country.
Karti P. Chidambaram, vice-president of the AITA said the National Association was not against any private enterprise promoting the game in the country.
“We want to make very clear that we have no objection or reservation about Apollo Tyres Mission 2018 Programme, but we want them to keep us in the loop, keep us informed about their activities and plans.”
Mr. Chidambaram on Friday met Neeraj Kanwar, Joint Managing Director of Apollo Tyres, and Mahesh Bhupathi.
