‘BJP’s accusations ridiculous’

Bangalore: U.R. Ananthamurthy, Jnan Pith Award winner, has described as “ridiculous” the accusations of BJP State unit president D.V. Sadananda Gowda that he had got a house allotted in Bangalore after filing a “false affidavit.” Prof. Ananthamurthy had clarified in a release that he had applied for a house through proper official channels since he did not have one in Bangalore. “I now own only one house and that is the house in which I reside,” he has said. “I am hurt by the behaviour of the BJP President.” — Special Correspondent
