Rajahmundry: Two excise officials and a constable were injured and a woman was reportedly admitted to the Government Hospital, alleging that she was beaten up by the excise police. The incident occurred within five km of the Excise Minister’s residence. On information that illicit liquor was being brewed in a house in Rajendranagar of 4th division in the city, excise officials reached the area and walked into Sagi Seeta’s house. Seeta and her sons attacked ASE Srinivasa Rao, a CI and constable with iron rods and sticks. They sustained injuries and the ASE was badly injured on the head. CI Madhusudhana Rao was hit on his chest. Some other excise personnel came with an ASE and nabbed Sagi Seeta, her sons Gangadhar and Tirumala Rao.
