Court calls for APSFC explanation

Legal Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Justice L. Narasimha Reddy of the A.P. High Court on Friday directed officers of the AP State Financial Corporation (APSFC) to explain how advertisements threatening the defaulters were inserted in newspapers.

Objection to ad

The judge was dealing with a case filed by citizen from Warangal. The petitioner complained that the APSFC had inserted an advertisement in newspapers declaring that all defaulters would be hand-cuffed and paraded with mask on their faces if the dues were not paid.

The judge felt that the advertisement offended the civil rights of citizen though he is a defaulter.

He called for explanation from APSFC.
