LFJC wins Boost Cup

HYDERABAD: Little Flower Junior college won he Boost Cup under 16 cricket tournament by beating St. Johns Church junior college by 26 runs in the final on Thursday.

Man Of the Match was Sai Anurag (LFJC), Best Bowler was Saeb Ali Khan, Best Batsmen was Niklesh, Man of the Series was Niklesh

The scores: Boost Cup final: Little Flower Jr College 199 (Karthik 30, Sai Anurag 63, Surya Teja 53, Zeeshan Ali three for 29) bt St Johns Church Jr College 173 (Zeeshan Ali 38).

A-Division two-day matches: SBI 189 (Urooj Ahmed 57, Mohd Iqbal five for 65 lost to Crown CC 191 for five (Ratan Sharma 63, Imitiaz 31 Anand Babu 31).

EME beats SBI

EME centre defeated SBI 2-0 in the SAAP-Budweiser Premier league football tournament.

Rajesh Mathew scored both the goals.

The first goal was scored off a pass from Abood Bin Sayed in the 34th minute and the second was scored off a pass from Dhanraj in the 72nd minute.

Arulappa Cup to be held

The Unity Sports Academy will conduct the second Late Archbishop Arulappa memorial challenge cup invitation football tournament for schools and clubs from November 23 to 30.

Top teams and layers of the twin cities are expected to take part in this tournament which will be played on knockout basis.

School matches will start at 2.00 pm and the club matches will start at 3.00 pm, at Trimulgherry football ground.

VDCA fixtures

VDCA has prepared fixtures for its III, IV and V division clubs league.

Captain or an authorised person from a club can collect the draw list from the VDCA office between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. every day.

Referee’s exam

The Visakhapatnam District Volleyball Association is conducting a referees’ examination at the Department of Physical Education, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, on November 22. PETs, senior volleyball players and MP Ed. students below 40 years as on December 31, 2008, are eligible to appear. Call 98492 19511 for details.
