Bank launches core banking operations in all branches

CHENNAI: Repco Bank on Wednesday launched core banking operations in all its branches.

Launching the operations at the 40th foundation day celebrations , Chief Secretary K.S. Sripathi said that the bank had not only fulfilled its obligation of rehabilitating repatriates but also made profits and a customer base of 3.5 lakh.

“The bank will continue to contribute towards changing the lives of the downtrodden,” said M.Balasubramanian, Managing Director of Repco Bank.

The bank was initially focussing on rehabilitation of repatriates.

Apart from its social banking initiatives, it had also launched regular banking operations.

Many repatriates who had become successful entrepreneurs with the banking intervention of Repco participated in the celebration.

Mr. Sripathi also launched the special deposit scheme of the bank, ‘Repco 40,’ for senior citizens with 12 per cent interest per annum.
