Scholarships distributed

CHENNAI: Scholarships to college students, uniforms, hearing aids and financial assistance to women totally worth Rs.1.25 lakh were distributed to about 110 beneficiaries at the Children’s Day celebrations organised by Women’s Voluntary Service of Tamil Nadu on Wednesday. Former Supreme Court judge S.Jagadeesan, former director of Doordarshan Akila Sivaraman and honorary secretary of WVS Mano Bakthavatsalam participated in the function, said a release.
