Special medical camp

TIRUCHI: About 1550 persons were screened at the special medical camp organised by the Tiruchi Corporation under the Varumun Kappom scheme in the City on Thursday.

A team of 20 medical officials offered medical advice and treatment at the camp.

About 42 patients, with various ailments, have been referred to the K. A. P. Viswanatham Government Medical College Hospital for follow-up treatment.

Eightytwo pregnant women underwent scans and 46 persons underwent the electro-cardiogram test.

About 215 men, 845 women and 490 children attended the camp held at the Viscount’s Kosha Government Girls High School on the East Boulevard Road in the City.

The camp was inaugurated by the Mayor Sarubala R. Tondaiman and the Corporation Commissioner T. T. Balsamy.
