Moderate rain in Tiruvarur district

TIRUVARUR: Several parts of Cauvery delta region of Tiruvarur district including Tiruthuraipoondi, Nannilam and Muthupettai received moderate rains on Wednesday night and Thursday morning that is beneficial to the standing samba and thaladi paddy crops and for transplanting the thaladi seedlings in the district. An average rainfall of 10 mm was recorded in most of the places in the district in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning.
