WARM WELCOME: Indian Union Muslim League national president E. Ahamed being welcomed by party State secretary E.T. Mohammed Basheer at the conclusion of the Muslim League’s agitation rally against the LDF government in Malappuram on Thursday. MALAPPURAM: Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) national president and Union Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed has accused the State government of trying to mislead the people about development. Addressing a party rally taken out here on Thursday evening, Mr. Ahamed said that the Centre had kept aside Rs. 32,500 crore for the State’s development. He said the State government was trying to hoodwink the people by blaming the Centre for negligence. The LDF government, he said, did not know how to rule the State. “They are good at conducting strikes and agitations,” he told a huge gathering of party workers. The Union Minister alleged that the State government had squandered Rs. 3 crore for the recent agitation it conducted in Delhi protesting against the Central government. The rally marked the conclusion of the party’s agitation against the LDF government policies.
