Paddy sowing to be inaugurated

PATHANAMTHITTA: Agriculture Minister Mullakkara Ratnakaran will inaugurate sowing of paddy seeds on the 330-acre Theveri-Chennamkari paddy fields in the Upper Kuttanad village of Kadapra, near Thiruvalla, on Friday. The programme is part of the government’s programme to take up paddy cultivation on not less than 1,000 hectares. Transport Minister Mathew T. Thomas, district panchayat president Appinazhakathu Santhakumari, District Collector P.C. Sanalkumar and Thiruvalla Revenue Divisional Officer P.K. Jayasree will address the function. — Staff Reporter
