Rs.2,687 cr. sought for flood assistance

Bhubaneswar: Two months after the devastating floods, the State government today gave a final report to the Centre seeking an assistance of Rs. 2,687.43 crore besides, construction of two lakh houses under the Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) for the flood victims, official sources said. The floods have affected about 60 lakh population in over 25 districts of the State. - PTI
