Youth killed in accident

SALEM: A youth was killed when a State Transport Corporation bus hit a motorcycle from behind in Pallapatti here on Wednesday.

Police said Selvam (30) of Kovilpatti, who was visiting his relatives in Salem, was travelling with his relative Murugan in a motorcycle, when the accident took place.

He died on the spot, while Murugan sustained serious injuries and was admitted to Salem Government Medical College hospital. A case was registered.
