Training for SPASTN students

CHENNAI: K. Annapoorani is 21 years old and has been trained in desktop publishing at The Spastics Society of Tamilnadu (SPASTN).

She could be among those who could benefit from a memorandum of understanding signed on Wednesday between SPASTN and LifeLine Clinics and Multi Speciality Hospitals. The hospital would give training in office administration and provide job opportunities to the students of the institution. Lifeline Group Chairman J. S. Rajkumar said training would be provided to 15 to 20 students and at least five of them would be directly employed by the hospital. SPASTN Director Annie Shyam said that a total of 67 students had been placed.

Film director Venkat Prabhu, actors Aravind Akash, Sundar and Subbu, LifeLine Group Managing Director Chitrakala Rajkumar and senior surgeon R. Nanjunda Rao were present.
