Book fair organised at SRV Matriculation School

INCREASING KNOWLEDGE: Students of SRV Matriculation school at Samayapuram in Tiruchi browse through books at a recent book fair.

TIRUCHI: Acknowledging that reading habits must start from early days, the SRV Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Samayapuram organised a two-day book fair recently.

Students were sensitised to the fact that one gains knowledge and wisdom only through constant reading of books. Books are the right friends of human beings, school Principal K. Thulasithasan said.

The sellers included International Books, Scholastic, New Century Book House and Bharathi Puthakalayam. Children’s books, short stories, novels, science fiction, literature, etc., were displayed.

Joint Secretary of School Committee B. Sathya Moorthy presided over the inaugural of the book fair.

A large number of visitors constituted students, faculty and parents, Mr. Thulasithasan said.
