Indira Gandhi’s statue garlanded

PRIYADARSHINI: Mayor Sarubala R. Tondaiman and Urban district president of Congress Jerome Arockiyaraj garlanding the statue of the late prime minister Indira Gandhi in Tiruchi on Wednesday. —

TIRUCHI: A large number of Congress cadres garlanded the statue of the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the city on her 91st birth anniversary on Wednesday.

Mayor Sarubala R.Tondaiman, urban District Congress Committee president Jerome Arockiaraj, South District president M.Saravanan and other office-bearers garlanded her statue at Puthur Four Roads Junction.

Pledge taken

Collector T.Soundiah administered the National Integration pledge to the employees at the Collectorate while Corporation employees and elected representatives took the pledge under the leadership of the Mayor.
