High Court adjourns Sakrama case

BANGALORE: The Karnataka High court on Wednesday granted four weeks to the State Government when Advocate-General (AG) Uday Holla said a Cabinet subcommittee was looking into the scheme.

Mr. Holla made this submission when several Public Interest Litigation (PIL) petitions challenging the Sakrama scheme came up for hearing.

Time sought

A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice P.D. Dinakaran and Justice V.G. Sabhahit sought to know from the Government its stand on Sakrama

The AG sought four weeks to place additional material on the scheme before the court.

The Bench adjourned hearing of the case.
